Pegasus and Butterflies Nail Art

I love a good bit of stamping. I cant stand it when people say stamping isn't real nail art. It is real nail art folks and its fantastic! So many options with colour and decals you can pretty much achieve anything! Plus it can be a quick way of adding nail art to your dominant hand!

Today I chose Hare Polish Pegasus and plate MZR-O7. I used Konad Black Special Polish and my Magno XL stamper.

I waited before top coating (using Out The Door by INM) and even floated it over but it still smudged the beautiful butteries. 

I used 2 coats of Pegasus and it built up a lovely glitter density. Its a jelly finish so you get to see all the glitter floating around in the lush pastel purple base.

Polished By KPT Blue Is Beautiful Thermal

Oh how I love thermals and this is no exception. I think KPT thermals are some of the best as they are super reactive and the changes in colour are noticeable.

I own three KPT thermals and today i thought I would show you all Blue is Beautiful. Not the most imaginative name but its the polish that really counts!

I do tend to fine thermals are a bit thicker than normal polishes but I have read that that is to do with the amount of pigment needed to create a thermal.

On with the polish.....

I used three thin coats for the photos below

When COLD this polish is a deep blue. The glitter is a micro holo type glitter. The glitter is noticeable in its cold and warm state. It is very jam packed with glitter!

 This is a deep and jelly type of polish. The glitter builds up depth.

In its TRANSITION state the nails go from a very light and sheer glittery blue to the deep blue pictured above. It creates a lovely gradient effect.

In its WARM state the polish is quite sheer and you can see your nail line. As you all know I do not like a VNL but this polish is so so beautiful I'm almost able to ignore it. 

Almost.

I know I do say this a lot but I really really love this polish. Its colour change is very noticeable and I think that's a must when it comes to thermals. I mean if you cant really tell its changed then whats the point?!

This was also smooth on the nail so one coat of top coat was all that was needed.

Lightining Nail Art!

I have been super busy this week with a couple crochet orders I have to finish so here is a quick lightening themed nail art!

This was one of those late night faffings. My husband and brother were on Fifa so I thought Id have a mess around.

I used two polishes for this. BarryM Gelly in shades Guava and Grapefruit.

I love the Gelly range as they thicker. They are great for stamping and art although I do find the application can be a bit more tricky as it is that bit thicker.

I used the Bowie stamping plate from MoYou but i think that was like special edition or something so I am not sure if it is still available... But I do have another MoYou plate and that has bolts on it too. 

I haven't used these polishes in so long and pretty much forgot I had them lol. After using these I then ordered the new shades and a few others from the range.... OOOOPPSS!

This is so funky and bright! And its been awhile since I have done any art at all.

The gradient nail didn't go completely to plan and I think it looks like more of a tie dye nail LOL

Polish Me Silly Pinky Swear I'm a Star Thermal Indie Polish

Today I have another beautiful thermal polish by Polish Me Silly! 

I LOVE THERMALS!! 

My nails are at that length where you can see the transition all the time so I get the gradient effect which is great.

This is called Pinky Swear I'm A Star.

 Its a pink when cold and white when warm polish packed with glitter, this includes pink and green stars!! 

This is the polish when cold.... 

Its pink.... and I love it! I think I may have been converted to pink as recently I have been wearing it quite abit! 

This is a funky bright pink (brighter than the pics) and I really like the green stars with this! I love pink and green together! 

Here is the polish warm...

AGAIN I love this shade too! You can really see all the glitter and who doesn't like a white crelly!!??

I really love this polish. The formula was a little on this thicker side but in no way messed up my application. I used three coats for these pics and one topcoat. 

The stars of course can stick up a bit but that doesn't bother me at all. 

Its a funky bright polish perfect for summer!

In other news my new bulb came SMASHED! annoying!

Nautical Nails again :)

 

 I apologise for the messiness of this application, i had a few problems with this design and i was getting abit annoyed ;P

 

OK so here we have another nautical design using Barry M polishes.

I used Cheeky Plate CH36 from the summer 2012 collection.

Stamped using Barry M Gelly Pomegranate and Blackberry.

Base is Barry M White

Holographic striping tape and diamante to finish.

I do love this design as i really like this stamp, but i maybe should have kept all the nails the same design as i think it looks abit "busy"

 

I used Lumos top coat to help the tape stay down and i left the polish a good hour before applying and is STILL smudged the stamping.

does anyone have any tips on how i can prevent this?

I'm thinking of changing to Seche Vite as i find the Lumos only completely dries on professional polishes and not on budget or high street ranges. I find it works really well on China Glaze for instance but not very well on say Barry M or Kleancolor.
