You Drive Me Katie and Leopard Print Nail Art

I received a BIG nail mail parcel today from the lovely Katie from Harlow & Co. You can see what I bought HERE

My bank balance has fallen out of love with me since I found Harlow but man do they make me happy!! I now buy all my indies there (pretty much) and its free international shipping over 100 Canadian Dollars. They also usually get to me within 5 days!!

Today I chose You Drive Me Katie by KBShimmer. Its a Harlow exclusive and its pink!!
Anybody who knows me knows I am not a pink girl but recently I have really loved wearing pinks, on my nails mind you!

This a beautiful crelly (cream jelly) and it a true bubblegum shade. It is jam packed with white, purple and blue glitters of all shapes and sizes!!
This applies fantastically (just like every other KBShimmer I own) and I used 2 coats for the pics. As this is a polish is dense in glitter I used two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top to finish it off.

I of course had to add some nail art. On my little and index finger I used Essie Neo Whimsical and Lights to make a gradient and then hand painted a leopard print over the top! How bright and funky!

This is screaming summer to me and I think this would look so fab on my tootsies!!

I did this nail art especially for a pink mad nail addict called Claire. She loves pink and I think she has now turned me onto pink too!

What do you think? Are you a fan of bold nails !?

Matte Leopard Print Nails

Hello my lovelies!

A few days ago I saw THIS post by Louise over on her blog Tips and Topcoat.
It really rekindled my love for leopard print.

In December I made a few sets of false nails (posts can be seen HERE and HERE).
I made these leopard print ones back then to sell but never got round to putting them on eBay.

So today I recreated my false ones on me :D

I used BarryM Gelly in Lychee and a black Sinful Colors polish. Best Black EVER!

I really like making them matte as i think it makes them look all elegant haha!

I hope you have all had a great weekend!

More Leopard Print!

Feeling really down in the dumps today and just wasn't in the mood really to do anything at all but I received a new nail art pen set today and I wanted to give it a go.
The base is OPI If You Moust You Moust and the dots are BarryM Gelly in Guava
I wanted a more rugged type of print but in the picture it just looks messy.
Basically my new pen is an actual dip fountain pen. It came with 5 interchangeable heads and 2 handles.
It was hard to get used to in the beginning but it seems to produce a nice thin line.
The pen uses acrylic paint that only works when it has been watered down to the consistency of double cream.

The only problem I had was that sometimes paint would flood my nail and ruin the whole design!
(this happened to a design I did after this one, which infuriated me even more ARRRGG)

I think I need a lot more practise with this and I am not sure its worth all the extra effort.
