Mountain Nail art

Hello my lovelies!
The wether has been so bleugh here!
yesterday we had our father in law round and he is an artist so as you can imagine we were sat talking and painting for a while lol!

So this is what we came up with.....

Marcus *father in law* gave me some tips and painted some things for me to copy.
I actually found this okay to do, not too hard!

Okay so we have mountains, birds, a kite and a hot air balloon.

I used Essie's Butler Please and Avenue Maintain and a little BarryM at the bottom of the gradient.

The rest is acrylic paints.

So what do you think? I think the gradient could have been better but its all good practice!

Watercolour Style Nail Art

Hello!
I feel like its been ages since my last post, Ive been super busy with some top secret things!
All will be revealed in Oct.

Here I have a watercolour style nail art. I used my Squishy Stamper to achieve this look and it was sooo simple.

I used Essie's Butler Please and Shes Pampered.
The base is BarryM Matt White.
I placed a blob of each on a mixing palette then picked it up with my stamper and repeatedly stamped it over my nail until I was happy with the look.

This is the first attempt and it could have been better but i still love it! The way the blue mixes into the red is lush!

For some reason the red isnt being picked up properly on my camera. I have tried to edit it so you an see it but still its a bit naff. Sorry!

One other thing.... The clean up is, well, a pain in the ass. But maybe if I had thought about it I should have masking taped my fingers.

Nautical nails are one of my favorite designs to do. I have no idea why, but I especially love an anchor lol!

I hand painted the anchor, but now I look back at it, it looks a tad naff lol

I did this design for the Nail Polish Lovers group on Google+

Products used
Cheeky plates CH36 and CH 49 and Konad stamping polish in black and white.

Essie Butler Please and BarryM Blueberry Ice Cream

Whats your fave theme of nail art to do?

Royal Baby, Prince George of Cambridge Inspired Nail Art

Wonderful news this week about the birth of Prince William's and Princess Kate baby boy. He has been named George Alexander Louis, The Prince of Cambridge.

I just had to do some sort of nail art to commemorate the birth, so here it is!
FYI I hate stamping individual images and these are wonky (as always) sorry!

I used Essie's Butler Please and Avenue Maintain, BarryM Foil Effects in Gold and nail art pearls from ebay.
The glitter is 24 Carat by Kleancolor.
Bundle Monster plate BM-215

In hindsight I think the footprints would have bee better if they were bigger but i still like this royal mani :)

Congrats to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!

Have you done anything to commemorate the birth?
Hope you all have had a good week!

80's Themed Nail Art

I haven't been able to post that much recently, I have been super busy planning a surprise birthday party for my husbands 30th.
As you can probably guess from the picture it was an 80's themed party.

Well the party was last saturday and now you all have my undivided attention! I will hopefully get back into the swing of posting nearly every day :)

I just had to use my new bold Essie polishes for this mani, I used Essie's Lights, Essie's Butler Please and BarryMs Lemon Ice Cream.

I used Cheeky plate CH51 from the summer 2012 collection and Konad Special polish in Black.

I hope you enjoy this bright mani and i hope you all haven't missed me tooooo much ;p

Essie Haul from Direct Cosmetics

I have been a bit silent on the blogging recently, sorry :(

I bought these at +Direct Cosmetics Ltd about a week ago and I've only just had time to have a play with them :(

These were a bargain at £2.99 each!
As you all probably know by now is Essie is my favourite brand, with their wide brushes and wide range of colours.

The colours I purchased are
(top L-R) Lights, Sweet Talker, Butler Please, Where's My Chauffeur,
(bottom L-R) She's Pampered, A Crewed Interest and To Buy or Not To Buy

this was the first time I have used Direct Cosmetics and on the whole they are a good company. What I didn't like was that I had to pay a surcharge to use Paypal. It is understandable though as they would have to pay fees to Paypal themselves.
