Color Club Worth The Risque Nail Art

I have been doing a lot of girly nail arts recently...
So now I have gone for something abit more flashy!
This reminds me of something very futuristic, a bit like the mani I did for KBShimmers Blog a while back.
I bought this Color Club polish, along with a few others, a really long time ago and I am only now just getting round to trying it!

This is two coats but to be honest if you were in a rush then one thick coat would work just fine!

Worth The Risque is quite a strong holo in real life.
I really really like it!

Color Club also do a range of stripers and I used the black to do the pattern. The stripers are actually really good and cover really well!
I added the studs into the topcoat. I purchased them from the Born Pretty Store.

What do you think of this?
Thanks for reading, my lovelies!

Rose Water Decals

Christmas is over :(
I love the festive season and I love having the family all together.

I mentioned in another post about a prize I won in a giveaway. This is one of the packs of water decals I chose from +BornPretty BPS

I am incredibly disappointed with this :(
The decals didn't show their colours over this base which is Red-ical Gypsy by Color Club.
This shade enraged me no end. Its like dark and jelly and building the colour is shit!! Ive been put right off this, its all patchy!
It is darker in real life, more of a muddy red.

So all in all not chuffed. But manis cant be good all of the times :P
I hope you all had a fab Christmas? I hope you got all you wanted x

My Winnings From Wendys Delights!

A good few months ago I won a competition run by +Wendy Stanbury over at Wendys Delights and +BornPretty BPS

The prize was $20 voucher to spend at the Born Pretty Store.

Unfortunately the first package went missing :( that's why I am only just writing about it now.

Here are the goodies!

I wanted to try a glow in the dark polish for ages so I picked up two a clear one and a bright pinky purple. I also thought I would give these stripers a try as I usually just use a brush and paint. The stripers do have a strong funky smell.

I also got a set of 4 brushes, the handles are really long! I haven't used them yet but they look good.

I bought a few packs of water decals as my nan loved the roses so I bought them for her (also a little it for me :P)

I have $1 left so I bought a surprise gift. It came with a striping tape, stickers and angry bird decals. I don't think ill use any of that but you never know haha

So what do you think of what I picked?
Thanks to Wendy for this giveaway and its the only giveaway I have ever won :D

Hello Kitty Stamping and Polish Review

Today I am sporting a lot of Hello Kitty!
The polish I purchased from +Superdrug purely for the face that it has a super cool bottle that looks great on my shelf!
Previous post about my haul and to see the bottle check out HERE
I was incredibly surprised by the polish as being Hello Kitty I assumed it would be a child's type polish quality but i was wrong!
It was opaque in pretty much one coat, and the actual formula is beautiful BUT the brush is very thin. I also had a problem getting enough polish on the brush. This is because the neck of the bottle is really long. But after all this I am still very happy with the formula and the bottle is cute!

The stamping plate is from the Born Pretty store and I actually received this for free via a code I received in a package with an eBay order!
Usually it sells at $2.99 with free shipping.
Sorry about the picture, I forget to take one BEFORE I used it :S
The ones I used picked up great with no problems.
The main design in the centre of the plate is huge though and I don't know what nail that would fit on, maybe my big toe LOL!

Polish used is Got Dat Thang by Hello Kitty, you can buy it for £2.49 HERE
Stamping plate available from Born Pretty Store for $2.99 HERE

The Very Hungry Caterpillar with New Acrylic Paints

My son made me a very hungry caterpillar at playgroup today and i couldn't resist having a go at a nail art!
I am gutted! As i was uploading the pictures i realised i had forgotten to put any legs on the poor bug!!

This is the first time i have used acrylic paint instead of nail polish for a nail art.

The white is BarryM in White.

I purchased a set of nail acrylic paint from +eBay from China. I had to wait a few weeks for delivery but that's okay as they cost £3.50.
The brand is Oumaxi and they are really good, not too thick or thin. I found them really easy to use.

I also purchased a new nail art brush, from eBay, also from China. When it arrived it came with a Born Pretty business card so I assume its from their eBay site.
I only payed 50p for it! The handle is made out of bamboo and it okay but i need more practice.

So do you remember this book? Was it one of your favorites?

Butterfly Desire

I received a lovely bundle of goodies from Viva La Nails so I decided to use some of the butterfly's to do a lovely bright design.
Essie, as always, goes on like a dream. I actually love the Essie brush and lid. Makes the polish easy to control and means I never need to do a clean up after.

I loved this design so much its also on my toes!

I used Fear and Desire by Essie
Butterfly's from Viva La Nails
Gold floral water decals from Born Pretty Store
Dots are done using Barry M Nail Art pen in Black
Poshe Top coat.

So what do you think of this design? Do you like wearing bright colours?

*some of these products were sent to me for an HONEST review. The views on this product are COMPLETELY my own.*

Leaf Studded Design

Using OPIs Stranger Tides and Don't Mess With OPI i created a mani inspired by the great outdoors.
I used Cheeky Plate CH33 And Konad Special Polish in White for the leaf design.
The Black Studs are from Born Pretty and can be bought HERE
The Born Pretty Store is based in China so the delivery to the UK takes about 12ish days but they have a wide range and the prices are very good.

I used nail glue to attach the studs so i could make sure they wouldn't pop off, i also have a habit of picking at 3D embellishments so the glue helps to keep them in place :)
