Color Club Worth The Risque Nail Art

I have been doing a lot of girly nail arts recently...
So now I have gone for something abit more flashy!
This reminds me of something very futuristic, a bit like the mani I did for KBShimmers Blog a while back.
I bought this Color Club polish, along with a few others, a really long time ago and I am only now just getting round to trying it!

This is two coats but to be honest if you were in a rush then one thick coat would work just fine!

Worth The Risque is quite a strong holo in real life.
I really really like it!

Color Club also do a range of stripers and I used the black to do the pattern. The stripers are actually really good and cover really well!
I added the studs into the topcoat. I purchased them from the Born Pretty Store.

What do you think of this?
Thanks for reading, my lovelies!

Matte Leopard Print Nails

Hello my lovelies!

A few days ago I saw THIS post by Louise over on her blog Tips and Topcoat.
It really rekindled my love for leopard print.

In December I made a few sets of false nails (posts can be seen HERE and HERE).
I made these leopard print ones back then to sell but never got round to putting them on eBay.

So today I recreated my false ones on me :D

I used BarryM Gelly in Lychee and a black Sinful Colors polish. Best Black EVER!

I really like making them matte as i think it makes them look all elegant haha!

I hope you have all had a great weekend!

Black and Yellow Photoshoot!

A few weeks ago a friend asked me to design some nails for a photoshoot she was doing the make up for, of course I jumped at the chance!

The theme was Black and Yellow and I was asked for them to be striking and quite geometric.
I used BarryMs limited addition yellow (from Boots) and Black and Matte White. The studs are of course from the Born Pretty Store! I painted them on to stiletto type fake nails.

Make up was done by +Charlotte Millem and the photography was done by Ben over at Ben Simmonds Photography.
The model is Tia Marie

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the shoot as I had to watch my two boys but hopefully there will be more opportunities in the future for me to attend :) I would love to do this type of thing more often.

So without further ado here are some of the images!

I am really proud of how they turned out and the images look totally amazeballs!!

You can check out more of +Charlotte Millems work on her facebook page
Ben also has a facebook page with tons of stunning images! So pop on over to each page and share some love from the nail world!

What do you all think?

Arsenal Nail Art

I hate football, like literally cannot stand it!
BUT my husband is soo supportive of my nail and all the stuff that comes along with it that I thought I would do an art just for him :)

The shot of the cannon is terrible and to be fair the cannon is pretty crap too but I havent done any hand painting in a while.I am quite happy with the result.

I chose to do the number 10 as my husbands fave player was Dennis Bergkamp.

I used Essie Shes Pampered and BarryM Foil Effects in Gold. The rest is acrylic paint.
The studs are from the Born Pretty Store.
What do you think? What is your fave team?

Holographic Splatter

Here is some splatter nail art I did for the Nail Polish Lovers Weekly Challenge.

I used two coats of Purple With A Purpose by OPI on the index and little finger, then used a make up sponge to layer on the Holographic Hero by Gosh to make a gradient. Then added studs from the Born Pretty store.

For the splatter I used Holographic Hero for the base, 2 coats. Then used a straw dipped in Purple With A Purpose and lightly blowed to create the splatter.

*HINT* Cover your cuticles and surrounding skin with masking tape to minimize clean up.
I love this mani as it really catches the light. Massive fan of Holographic polishes!

Summer Citrus

This is my first time using Fimo Canes. I got these sent to me from Nail Delights. They came s a cane not pre-sliced so I had to cut them. I used a Stanley knife, and man was that hard! I think with practice they will become thinner and even shaped.

The design was really let down by the nail polish I used. I had to redo a few nails and it didn't really come out as I had hoped.

I used Manhattan shade 3 for the peach colour and InVogue Hi Res Glitter in Feeling Fruity for the glitter.

The Manhattan polish is a nightmare to apply! I used FOUR coats and it was still streaky!

I also used gold studs from the Born Pretty Store.

I loved working with the Fimo Cane and I have another one from Nail Delights that I am itching to try.
You can buy the Fimo Canes from Nail Delights  HERE
Nail delights also have a awesome range of nail art supplies and my current favourite thing....water decals!
You can buy the InVogue Hi Res Glitter from Oh Beauty HERE

I really feel like I could have done this design better but as I am sure you know we all have days where nothing seems to go right!
:( :( :(
*some of these products were sent to me for an HONEST review. The views on this product are COMPLETELY my own.*

Stranger Tides Design

2x coats of OPI's Stranger Tides
Water decals over a clear base coat
Black pearl studs

It just so happened that the green background of the nail decal is exactly the same as Stranger Tides
A simple design which took a matter of 15 mins but lovely none the less
nail art doesn't have to be hard or time consuming to be pretty :)

Leaf Studded Design

Using OPIs Stranger Tides and Don't Mess With OPI i created a mani inspired by the great outdoors.
I used Cheeky Plate CH33 And Konad Special Polish in White for the leaf design.
The Black Studs are from Born Pretty and can be bought HERE
The Born Pretty Store is based in China so the delivery to the UK takes about 12ish days but they have a wide range and the prices are very good.

I used nail glue to attach the studs so i could make sure they wouldn't pop off, i also have a habit of picking at 3D embellishments so the glue helps to keep them in place :)
