JULY NAIL ART CHALLENGE

In July I will be running my very own nail art challenge!
Its a first for me but I really want another way to connect with other bloggers and nail artists.

I have chosen a range of prompts. Some easier than others so there is something for everyone!

You can post your pictures on Life in Lacquers Facebook page, your Instagram, Facebook or blog. Make sure to tag them #lifeinlacquerjuly and tag me @lifeinlacquer so I can see them! My tag is always @lifeinlacquer whether it be on Facebook or Instagram.

I will then share some of the pics on my Facebook page, of course with credit!

I'm posting this now so you have loads of time to prepare lol. You dont have to do everyone, I won't hunt you down!

Laquerdiasiccal Boulder Dot Dot Dash Swatch and Review

Here today we have another Laquerdaisical polish for ya! 

Its called Boulder Dot Dot Dash.

Alexia, the creator of Laquerdaisical, described this as a pale grey jelly with multicoloured matte glitters. 

I could see the tinted base in the bottle but couldn't notice on the nail so I have included pictures without undies (base colour) and with undies. 

 (look at that little squiggly glitter on my index nail, love it!)

As with all Laquerdaisical polishes I have tried this applies fantastically. Has a great amount of glitter. 

The pictures above are 2 coats with no topcoat. 

The colour of the glitter are so bright and remind me of the 80's!

Not that I was alive then but you get me!

Here it is layered over Color Club Silver Lake. 

I mean freaking look at this! 

I LOVE IT! 

I showed my husband and he said "wow, that IS good" 

That right there is the best recommendation a polish can have! 

I can imagine this used in loads of ways. Layered up with jellys or used in a glitter fade.

Black and White

Today I had an urge to use just black and white.

Oh, and a touch of glitter!

I know its only simple but i quite like it. 

I used OPI Alpine Snow, Sinful Colors Black on Black and L'oreal Confetti. The white line are done with a striper from The Born Pretty Store. 

I hadn't used the Confetti polish in months and it had gone sooooo thick. Im glad I had some thinner to hand! 

I really like Confetti as it has really small bits of glitter in as well which adds to the sparkle! i think it looks especially good over pastels. 

I used a make up sponge to do the gradient. 

What do you think of this mani? Do you like monochrome manis?

Time for another instalment of Crochet Corner!

eres some things I have been working on.... 

I am all about the bobbles! Above we have a beanie hat that can be worn as a fitted beanie or as a slouchy hat. I love making these as they can be made in loads of different colourways. I made one for my dad in football colours.

This is a funky baby bobble hat, I love the colours on this! Can be worn by many sizes are you can roll up the front.

Simple Newborn/Preemie Beanie

I LOVE this hat. It has a cute ombre effect.

And finally some booties! These remind me of cheeky pixie boots! They even have a small pompom on the back :P

Hope you enjoy looking at these bits and bobs but please do let me know if you would prefer not to see these on my blog. I know it is a nail blog but I do like to share other part of me with you all :D
