Yume Lacquer Rainbow Heart Review, Swatches and Nail Art!

PRESS SAMPLE
Today I have my last Yume Lacquer to show you. I have saved my favourite polish until last.

Rainbow Heart is described as "A medium rosy pink with a slight golden shimmer and holographic microglitter" on Yumelacquer.com and I couldn't have  described it better myself, LOL. It is part of the Moon Defender Collection and is inspired by Sailor Moon.

This polish isn't unlike Pink Lady, you can see my review HERE, but I would say the main difference is that Pink Lady is verging on neon but this is much more of a rosy muted pink shade. I absolutely adore it!

These photos show two thick coats with top coat.

Purple Cracked Nail Art

I had a request from Alexia, Creator of Laquerdaisical to do a purple nail art so here it is.
If you would like to request a nail art or have any ideas please contact me

I used one of my new Cadillacquer polishes Easy As Pie. I wanted this polish for so long. In fact I want all Cadillacquer polishes....BUY ALL THE POLISH!

I had no idea what I was doing when I started this nail art lol. I used Nails Supreme pen in white to do the design and then a gradient using OPI Planks Alot and Steady As She Rose with a bit of Easy As Pie on the nail tip.

Easy As Pie applied really well and I got great coverage with 3 thin coats. I prefer to use thinner coats of polish to build up the depth of the glitter.

I still have no idea what this nail art is... Trees? Cracking? Lightning? You decide!

Yume Lacquer Let's Positive Thinking Swatch and Review

FINALLY I have finished all my crochet orders so I am now on full speed ahead catching up on the old blogging!!

Today I have, what I can only describe as, a grown up polish! This polish makes me feel so grown up and elegant.
Plus I love the way it looks on my nails.
I think it really suits me :)

Without further ado this is Let's Positive Thinking by Yume lacquer.

Bottle shot ^^

Its a chestnutty yummy warm brown with a purply pink micro glitter. Look at how grown up and elegant it makes me lol!
The formula is great, two coats shown here with topcoat.
The glitter isnt grainy or anything so thats great too.

I love this. REALLY love it! If I had to go and be taken seriously somewhere this would be the polish I would wear.

What do you all think??

Yume Lacquer is available through ETSY and go and show some love on her FACEBOOK and say I sent ya :P

Tarquins Torment by Tara's Talons and ME!!

By complete accident Tara from Taras Talons invited me to take part in a Fan Collaboration!

I chose to name and design mine after our cat Tarquin.
Tarquin is a badass.
A scary badass.
He loves to be by himself and he is always out fighting BUT I feel he has a hard time with my kids sometimes so that's his torment!
I love Tarquin although he scares the life out of me. I wanted to do something for him!

Here he is!

Crappy pic but he looks just like Felix!

So I asked Tara to make a polish with a white crelly base and white and black glitter. I asked for black shard as Tarquin is scrappy and a bit of a ruffian!

And without further ado here's Tarquin Torment!

This has great glitter distribution and it covers well in two coats. If you wanted though you could layer it over white.
I love this. Anyone who knows me knows I love white crellys!
My photos are sucky recently so Ive ordered a new bulb so hopefully that'll work....

This and the other collaboration shades have been released TODAY! yay!

You can buy ans view them HERE

This polish was gifted to me for taking part in the collaboration. These are my honest opinions

My Father in Law Does My Nails AGAIN!!

I think this may become a regular thing!

My father in law has done my nails again..... I think he really loves doing this and hes showing real promise too, he'll have his own nail business soon you watch LOL

He again did it in some sort of arty style but Lord knows what. I kinda switched off haha!

He has some more ideas too so watch this space! He will be teaching us all art history through nail art!

He used OPI Alpine Snow and two nail art stripers by Color Club.
Then a nice coat of Seche Vite to shine it up!

What do you think of Marcus's second nail art? I think it looks so good!

Cadillacquer Masterpiece

I have been lusting after this polish for months and finally its mine! Masterpiece is finally MINE!

If you are not a polish enthusiast...thats what I have decided to call myself by the way an "enthusiast" ... It makes me sound all dignified like I collect stamps or something LOL!
Anyway if you are not a polish enthusiast I cannot begin to describe how it feels when you finally get THAT polish. One you have watching, waiting and looking at swatches of for months and months...

When it finally lands in your hands its such a good feeling!
I always worry that when I then do get it and use it I wont love it as much and it'll be a bit disappointing.

This is NOT one of those times. I actually dont ever want to take this polish off
**runs and chucks all other polish out the window**

This to me is the right shade of green and the red... OH THE RED.... Cadillacquer describes it as hot orange glitter on the website but it is red to me. The glitter suspends so well in the jelly formula that the top layer of glitter looks 3D. I'm not shitting you it like stands out. I have never seen this in another polish. ITS LIKE WIZARDRY!
I used three coats and one coat of topcoat in the pics. The formula is perfect I think as if you used less coats it wouldn't build up that lovely 3D effect.

I am a MASSIVE fan of Dexter. I mean look at Micheal C Hall. I have always loved him. Even when he was on Six Feet Under.
In fact my son is even called Dexter LOL! #

This polish is very reminiscent of Dexter to me. The red glitter just looks so much like blood splatter. Blood splatter in a good way of course!

Masterpiece is indeed a masterpiece to me.

If you like this and want to see other Cadillacquer polishes then please click HERE.
I also purchased Seek the Fire at the same time as this one so I hope to have time to try that one out soon and I STILL have some others from the Dexter Collection to show you, Man I am so far behind!

So what do you think?

Yume Lacquer Flame Warrior

That's right I'm back from the dead!

Well not literally but that's the way it bloody felt!
For the second time this year I have been struck down by flu!

I hate flu. I mean who doesn't?
The only goo thing abut flu is that i am now 8lb lighter and closer to my weight loss goal! RESULT!

Yume Lacquer sent me some lovely polishes to review and they have been sat on the top of my Helmer for what seems like forever so tonight I bring you

FLAME WARRIOR

All the polishes from Yume Lacquer are based on game or comic characters. This one is based on Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon.

This one is a strange one. I expected to be red red but its like a darker plum red.

It features a purple micro glitter which catches the light and is noticeable.
It actually dries matte so I used one coat of topcoat for the pics here. I think one more coat of topcoat would have made this even nicer.
The application of this is great, 2 standard coats in these pics.

I think this is one of those polishes that you wouldn't be able to get on the high street and I love that not all indie look alike, although some are starting too...

So what do you think of this Yume Lacquer? I have 4 more to show you soon......

Please check out their ETSY store and FACEBOOK Page and show some Life in Lacquer love <3

*This is a press sample. I was sent this product for an honest review. for more details please see my disclosure page*

Sorbet Seams For Lovers in a Rush

Today we have another swatch from the very fashionable Sorbet Seams.
Sorbet Seams is an indie brand based in Belgium and run by Sally Meyvis.

As you may remember I swatched Coffee and Flowers a couple days ago, you can see it HERE

This is For Lovers in a Rush.
It has a mixture of glitter in ice blue, silver and gold holo.

I chose to layer this topper over Lychee by BarryM.
I thought this looked elegant but with a flash of fun and glam.
I like how it catches the light.

I chose to do a glitter fade today, with a feature ring finger, mixing it up!
The ring finger has two coats so you can see the sort of coverage.
It has a fantastic coverage and it really isn't thick to apply.
I used 1 coat of Seche Vite and that left the nails smooth.

I love this topper and have really really love the bottles they come in!
SOOOO trendy!

To buy this and other Sorbet Seams polishes please head on over to their ETSY store.

**this polish was sent to me for my HONEST review, please see my disclaimer page for more info**

Sorbet Seams Coffee and Flowers

Today I have another new to me indie brand Sorbet Seams.
Sorbet Seams are based in Belgium and run by Sally Meyvis
Firstly I LOVE the brands name and the bottle, Oh the bottle is so sexy!
How can a polish bottle be sexy....?
Well just LOOK at them

For Lovers in a Rush and Coffee and Flowers

I would be so happy to have a whole shelf full of these.
I cant stop looking at them

Well anyway......

Today we have Coffee and Flowers. A beautiful polish with purple holo squares, silver and pink holo hexes and smaller silvery brown? circles.
This is a polish topper, that means it is designed to go over another colour.

I chose yellow.
Why? I have no idea. I really like purple and yellow together.
This is like super sunny and happy.
Which is great as the weather is total pants.

macro bottle shot

I love how this is so happy. I feel Coffee and Flowers would look good over a wide range of colours. Maybe a pretty purple fade!?

I layered this over Barry M's Limited edition yellow that in turn is layered off Barry M matte white.
I did have to fish for glitter a bit for this, I suppose that's because the pieces are quite big so they sink. This is 3 thin coats with 1 coats of Seche Vite but i feel two coats of top coat would be better next time to make it 100% smooth.

What do you think of this topper? Sorbet Seams is available to buy HERE oh and on another plus side delivery took like a week! fast!

NOTD: Mysterious Lines

I love BarryM gelly polishes but i hardly ever use them. I find them a bit thick sometimes so I think that puts me off when I go to pick my colours.

I have wanted to use Sick Lacquers Mysterious Ways for ages and last week I wore it on a night out, but forgot to take photos DUH!
Everytime I use a new Sick Lacquers polish I always say to my other half  "this is my favorite one, you know."
I just love them all so much I can't actually decide which one I like best. The formula is always great, never too thick (my pet hate) and have great coverage in two coats.
I hand painted the lines using a very small brush that I have cut down some of the strands to make it even thinner.
For this funky line mani I used Sick Lacquers Mysterious Ways. BarryM Gelly in Guava and Grapefruit. All Pictured with 2 coats.

Whenever I photograph Guava its never bloody right. Its alot more of a teal in real life and you can really see the green hue. Its not this blue pictured here. *SIGH*

Mysterious Ways has a white base which is opaque in two coats. It features glitter in a vast array of sizes and colours.
You can find Sick LacquersHERE

What do you think of this bright mani?

Owl Stamping Nail Art

Something very strange must have happened as I have incredibly girly nails today!

They have also had the chop! I have very curvy nails so after a certain length they look all silly!

For this I used OPI's Pink Friday as a base. My god was this streaky, I had an absolute nightmare getting this on.
This is three coats.
Dont get me wrong I love this colour but it infuriated me :(

The Owl is from a MoYou London stamping plate, filled in with OPI's Suzis Hungry Again and Fly.
The black is Konad Special Polish.

Over all I do like this but maybe next time I would choose different colours.
What do you think?
