MDJ Creations Raspberry-Licious Glow in the Dark!!

Ohhh My......

I am a lucky lady for sure! MDJ Creations sent me a few polishes to swatch and here's the first.
MDJ Creations make handmade 3 free nail polish, essential oil balms and jewelry.

Raspberry-Licious is part of the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity collection and is a glow in the dark polish.
This is my first glow in the dark polish and taking the pictures were a learning curve indeed!!

This is a juicy pink jelly packed with loads of different shapes and sizes of glitter.
It applied well and these pics here are three thin coats and one coat of top coat which makes it smooth.

I stamped using Konad black and CH-16 from Cheeky.

Okay so here is the fun part.... the glow in the dark!!

This polish glows GREEN but for some reason they show up blue on my camera. But I assure they glow GREEN :)
I charged it under my UV lamp to take these pics but Melissa from MDJ says it will glow after a few minutes under direct light, such as a desk lamp.

I was so impressed with the glow on these. So much fun!

Have you ever used a glow in the dark polish?

MDJ Creations sells through Etsy and you can also contact them on Facebook.

I will have some more swatches coming soon so please keep ya eyes peeled (that saying is gross!)

My Final Christmas Nail Art!

Here is my final Christmas nail art for 2013!

I am hoping to wear this for Christmas day so I really bloody hope they don't chip.

Here are the last cheesy Christmas tree photos... Enjoy!

I couldn't do a mani without the use of some texture could I?! Here's Zoya PixieDust in Chyna. I also used OPI Affair in Red Square. This is such and Christmas colour, it has this lush shimmer type metallic sheen.

As you can see the stamping smudged a tad but when you look at it in real life you cant see it at all and I mean AT ALL. Its kind of annoying!

The stamping plates are all from the festive collection by MoYou London.
I used the decal method for the Hollie. You can find a tutorial HERE

Did you know I have written 180 posts this year? My first year of blogging!

MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU LOVELY PEOPLE!

Snowmen and PixieDust

Today I have another simple nail art using pre cut fimo canes from Sparkly Nails.

I must say I'm not a fan of the canes you have to cut yourself, I always cut them too thick.
These can also be inlaid into gel or acrylic if ya that way inclined.

Queue Christmas themed photos......

Oh and I also made this bauble LOL!

Pics aren't great again but I blame this solely on my bloody ass of a brother who has been messing with my camera and I have NO idea what he has done!!!!!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this PixieDust! Its Liberty and its soo sparkly and reminds me so much of Christmas!
The snowman are 3D and really do stand out against the background polish.
If you want to purchase these cute little snowmen you can do HERE.

Summer Citrus

This is my first time using Fimo Canes. I got these sent to me from Nail Delights. They came s a cane not pre-sliced so I had to cut them. I used a Stanley knife, and man was that hard! I think with practice they will become thinner and even shaped.

The design was really let down by the nail polish I used. I had to redo a few nails and it didn't really come out as I had hoped.

I used Manhattan shade 3 for the peach colour and InVogue Hi Res Glitter in Feeling Fruity for the glitter.

The Manhattan polish is a nightmare to apply! I used FOUR coats and it was still streaky!

I also used gold studs from the Born Pretty Store.

I loved working with the Fimo Cane and I have another one from Nail Delights that I am itching to try.
You can buy the Fimo Canes from Nail Delights  HERE
Nail delights also have a awesome range of nail art supplies and my current favourite thing....water decals!
You can buy the InVogue Hi Res Glitter from Oh Beauty HERE

I really feel like I could have done this design better but as I am sure you know we all have days where nothing seems to go right!

Fruity Grape Mani

Today I've taken part in the Nail Polish Lovers Weekly Challenge to create a design inspired by fruit.

I chose to do grapes and a stamped accent nail.

Base is Kleancolor Love is in the air
Grapes are Kleancolor Plum and accented in Konad Special Polish in white.
Vine parts are Sinful colors Envy and Manhattan Rock Topia in shade 4

Kleancolor's love is in the air is actually a beautiful colour, it has a really nice green shimmer to it i have done two coats here but i feel if i wanted it to be really opaque it would require three. I didnt want the base colour to be to bold though so i opted for two.

Accent nail is Kleancolor Plum as a base and Konad polish in white. I also used cheeky plate number CH42 from the summer 2012 collection.

I know the stamping has smudged abit but this was already my second attempt, i have no idea whats happened to my stamping recently?! It used to be so easy!
I must just be having and off week.

The grapes where super easy to do all i used was a dotting tool. I'm starting to use these more than the finer brushes as most of the time i feel they give a better result for me. Brushes tent to streak.

What do you think? Would you wear a fruity mani?
