Laquerdaisical Christmas Collection Swatches and Review- Candy Caned

*PRESS SAMPLE- PLEASE SEE DISCLOSURE FOR DETAILS*

Last week I was sent two polishes from the Laquerdaisical Christmas collection and decided to split the post into two as this one is a very picture heavy post!

Candy Caned is a clear to red thermal with red and white large glitter and micro red glitters.

Transition

In transition between warm and cold the polish looks really good. I found that the polish had to be quite cold to change but with the English weather I don't see this being a problem! when I was pushing the pushchair to school and it did change at the tips.

All these pictures are three coats with a topcoat. I used an icepack to change the colour of the polish (its quicker and doesn't leave my hands wet!)

Warm

Warm

As you can see this polish is sheer when it is warm and it spends most of its time this colour. I am not a fan of sheer polishes so I decided to see what it would look like layered over OPI Alpine Snow.
Formula wise I think its the perfect thickness for me. I don't like a thin polish and this one isn't too thick either. I did have a problem getting some of the bigger glitter out but I think that has more to do with the mini bottle I was supplied with, Mini bottles tend to be a pain in the butt when it comes to glitter polishes. The brush is never wide enough and the glitter gets stuck to the sides of the bottle.

Cold-Over White

Transition- over white

Over white, this polish really does remind me of a candy cane! Very Christmassy. The only way  could get the polish to go full on red was to put my hand under the tap so excuse wet fingers!

Here is a little video of this polish in action!

All in all I think this is a pretty little Xmas polish. If you don't mind a sheer polish, and I know quite a few people that don't, this is a a great thermal for you.

Personally I prefer it over the white and I don't mind layering polishes. I layer quite often and I think the fact that it is sheer means it can be layered over many colours and used all year round!

You can buy this polish and many others through Laquerdaisical's Facebook Page and Website
