Nail Stickrs Review and Nail Art

Today I received these lovely samples in the post!

Nail Stickrs is a company based in the USA but they DO ship to the UK.  Shipping is cheap too, $2.50 which works out at around £1.49

I was sent a pretty big pack of stencils and stickers to play around with so expect quite a few designs with these babies!

Okay so today I decided to try the straight lines and the arrow type ones first. I am in love with all things geometric at the mo!

The polish needs to be proper dry before using these so I recommend waiting a while after base colour application. I didn't use a fast dry topcoat so waited about an hour. I have tried to use a topcoat to speed up this process before but I actually don't think it works too well. It makes you think its dry when its not, sneaky!

Nail Vinyl Stickrs how to apply

First I picked up a bunch of the stencils and the placed them on my nails. This way I can ensure they are straight and equally spaced.

Then I removed every other sticker. I found using tweezers made this part easier.
When I was happy with the positioning I used the end of the tweezers to push the stencils down into the sides of the nail to make sure there are no gaps.

Nail Vinyl Stickrs nail art using indie polish manglaze

And there you have it. The smallest tutorial of all time! The base is Manglaze Mayonnaise. A matte shimmery white. Takes 3 coats for opacity.

I then used a sponge and OPI Nein Nein Nein Okay Fine and Mentality's Scoundrel to create the gradient.

The triangle shape was also made using Nail Stickrs but this time I used the straight lines.

I did make some mistakes with these though. Some of the polish leaked under the stencil. I found using a little brush with some nail polish remover on cleaned it up a bit. I don't think they are bad at all for a first attempt!

Matted it all, again. I mean I just love matte!

What do you think of these new Nail Stickrs? I love them and whether your new or a dab hand a nail art these have a use for everyone.

Laquerdasical Swatches

Hello everyone!
I have a lovely Indie brand to share with you all today.... Laquerdaisical

Based in the UK and run by Alexia, Laquerdaisical makes a wide range of polishes and even some holos were released just last night!

First up is Where the Glitter FlaminGoes.
This is a pink jelly with pink mix holo glitter. A darker pink not a baby type pink so it has my vote already!

Macro bottle shot

All pictures with 3 thin coats and Seche Vite

Already I have had numerous compliments on this shade. It really catches the light.
The first thing i noticed about the polish was the way it applied. Despite having a high glitter content and coverage it wasn't thick. It was truly easy to apply.
A pet hate of mine, and it happens mostly with Indies, is a thick polish.

As its a jelly it had buildable coverage so you could layer it over another polish to make it truly opaque or you could be really adventurous and try it over a completely different colour polish and see what happens.....

The final one i have for you today is Elphaba's Downfall
This is a red, verging on the pinky side. It is packed with red glitter which gives a flash of bluey purple!!
It is a textured polish if left without topcoat (similar in texture to Zoya Pixiedust)

3 thin coats and 2 coats of seche vite

it is a strange polish as in some lights it looks red and in others pink. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the flash of purply blue you get every now and then but I must say that is not really noticeable if you don't topcoat it.
Again coverage is great and it goes on like a dream so no complaints here.

I do have another Laquerdaiscal polish to show you but I just couldn't wait to show you these! The next one will be coming up very soon!

I think Laquerdaisical will be a brand to watch as I love the application, colours available and the name choices!
You can buy these and other Laquerdasical polishes from HERE

Which one is your fave?

**these polish were sent to me for my HONEST review, please see my disclaimer page for more info**

Update....

I thought I would quickly stop by to explain where I have been hiding...

Well I have been ill for a while now, a lot of vomiting! YUMMY (not!)

I was so ill I didn't even manage to paint my nails for my own birthday on the 30th of Nov!

BUT..... I am going to try and do a few designs this week and I have a review to do too!

Also i have a new addiction which i have mentioned before... Crochet!!

It is just as much of an obsession as nails!

So anyway I just wanted to quickly pop in to let you know I am still here and havent forgotten any of you

I just had to get the Hello Kitty Polish, just for the bottle! I had to have it on my shelf :)

I used to own Gosh's Holographic Hero years ago when i worked in Superdrug. It was the most i had ever spent on a polish and even with my discount i still had to think for a few weeks before i actually bought it. Unfortunately it went gloopy not so long later so when i saw it online i had to buy it, just for old times sake :)

Royal Bow

I have been so ill this week I haven't had chance to do anything! So here is my first nail art, a red, white and blue mani with a bow.
This really reminds me of a English Royal celebration with the colours and confetti type topcoat.

Unfortunately the blue i used for the bow smudged a bit when i added the Poshe topcoat.

I used;
Base colour: OPI's Red Lights Ahead,Where?
Confetti: InVougue feather Effect in Jaye Bird
Bow: Barry M's Gelly Nail Paint in Blackberry, Barry M Nail Art Pens in Black and White.

I absolutely love this design, and I really like the InVogue Feather Effect on top of the red. It really reminds me of England!
The OPI looks orange in this light and it is really more of a bright red, but for some reason i couldnt really capture this on my camera.

You can purchase the whole InVogue range in Superdrug and HERE
Here the colour of the OPI is a lot more accurate.
