Lace Floret Water Decal Nail Art

Hello!!
It feels like ages since I blogged last. Super busy getting crochet things made... Ive even bought a label maker. This just got real!

These dainty water decals were sent to me by Sparkly Nails. Sparkly Nails are based in the UK and stock a massive range of nail art items.

Water decals are so simple to use. All you have to do is cut the one you want out, remove plastic and then soak in water for a few seconds. Slide the decal off of the sheet and then on to your nail.... Simples!

The only thing that can make them a tad harder to use is seeing the white decal on the blue backing paper but holding them up to the light helps.

I made the ombre using a make up sponge and Moyra 912 Jacqueline and Manhattan 67N. Manhattan don't name their polishes and it really bugs me when nail polishes don't have names. I think its part of the fun (especially if they are humorous names, I'm talking about you OPI )

These decals and many others are available from Sparkly Nails

Feather Nail Decals

I am trying so very hard to keep the blog up to date but as some of you may know I also crochet things for people and at the mo I have loads to do so my little blog has suffered slightly. Normal service will resume soon!

Anyway.....
I have a very simple nail art to show you today. AND I used the mysterious fan brush.... The fan brush usually comes in most nail art brush kits and I have seen a few people ask what to do with it, so here is just one thing you can do!

I used +Barry M  Gelly polish called Key Lime and China Glazes  Flying High. I then added some feather water decals from Sparkly Nails.
I then topped it all off with Mentality Matte top coat! I love Matte top coat and I just want to matte all the things!
Ive said it once and I'll say it again... If you don't like hand painting nail art then water decals are the option for you. They are easy to use and don't stick up like stickers. plus they can be cut and edited to fit any design you might want to do.

The fan brush is part of a set of brushes from Effect Beauty. For 10% off  use code LACQUER.

What do you think of this look?

Some products in this post were sent to me for review. All opinions are my own and they are all honest.

Card Water Decals

Hello everyone!!

Tonight we have some water decals from Sparkly Nails. They are card themed, would be great for a poker night!

I was a bit annoyed I didnt think of something more fun than a white background but I just dont think I am properly on it again yet... I gotta get my nail groove back!

I used OPI Alpine Snow for the base. The only actual white base I can get on with. The others I have tried I find streaky.

Water decals are so easy to apply, just cut out the one you want and submerge in water for a few seconds. In my opinion warmer water workers quicker.
Then apply to transfer to the nail and topcoat. TADA!!!

They are great if you are not confident with nail art and they are very quick to use!

Plus they are great for toes! I cant reach down that far to do art on my own toes lol!!

These decals are available in the UK HERE

These decals were sent to me for my honest review.... please see my disclosure for more details

Cadillacquer Slice Of Life

I have been wanting to try this polish for so long.
I LOVE Dexter so when I saw a collection based on the tv series i had to have it.

Unfortunaly Masterpiece was out of stock when I bought this so I am still on the look out for it!

This is also my first lot of Cadillacquer polishes!

I was sent some lovely water decals from Sparkly Nails and i thought these two would go so nicely together! It reminds me of Chinese New Year!

This polish has the prettiest blue shimmer. It really looks so lovely in the sunlight!
Something you definitely couldn't find in a high street polish

Here is three coats with Seche Vite topcoat.

The shimmer has no texture at all so one coat of topcoat is fine.
The only thing is that this polish is quite sheer so you can still see my smile line. I personally don't like that so next time i think i will layer it over a red so then i only have to use a couple coats.

The shimmer in this polish is really really pretty and I think this is my new fave red!
Its bright too!

You can find Cadillacquer HERE and Sparkly Nails decals HERE
What do you think of this polish? Are you a fan of Dexter?

Some of these products were sent as a press sample for my honest review. Please see my disclosure for details

Blue Flower Nail Art

Today I have some pretty stickers from Sparkly Nails to show you.

I really wanted to use my new Girly Bits polish called Cosmic Ocean so I used it over this LAME gradient. It is so much more noticeable in real life but pastels are my enemy! I can never get them to show their true colours!

Cosmic Ocean is so sexy. It makes a huge difference to the polish and mani overall. It gives it a blue iridescent glittery shimmer that really makes it pop!

I used BarryM Gelly in Guava with Blueberry sponged onto the ends. If you squint you may be able to see it!!

The stickers are very easy to apply, they are the spongy type of stickers. After I have applied the stickers I just top them off with a top coat.
I think they go really well with the blues.

You can buy these stickers and other nail art bits HERE and you can check out Girly Bits HERE

Hope you are all having a good week so far!

*these stickers were sent to me for review. All opinions are my own HONEST thoughts and ramblings*

Peacock Pretties

Hello my dears!

Today has been a bit of a crap day, I have a cough that just wont go away :(
How are you? Did you have a good weekend?
I literally just crocheted all weekend! Oh and I picked up a couple lovely OPIs in TK Maxx.

Anyway.........

Recently Ali from Sparkly Nails emailed me and asked if i would like to take some pictures of different manis using her products for her website.
Of course I agreed!

Here is just one of many designs I have been working on.

When I saw these Feather Decals the first thing I thought of was a peacock.

I used a thin brush to layer 4 colours over each other on the feature nails.

To be honest it may have looked better with more purples and darker blues but I don't use greens very often.

The water decals are so easy to use and i think they look soo good! Have you ever tried water decals before?

What do you think of this mani?

Snowmen and PixieDust

Today I have another simple nail art using pre cut fimo canes from Sparkly Nails.

I must say I'm not a fan of the canes you have to cut yourself, I always cut them too thick.
These can also be inlaid into gel or acrylic if ya that way inclined.

Queue Christmas themed photos......

Oh and I also made this bauble LOL!

Pics aren't great again but I blame this solely on my bloody ass of a brother who has been messing with my camera and I have NO idea what he has done!!!!!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this PixieDust! Its Liberty and its soo sparkly and reminds me so much of Christmas!
The snowman are 3D and really do stand out against the background polish.
If you want to purchase these cute little snowmen you can do HERE.

First Christmas Nails!! Snowflake Stickers

This is my first Christmas post EVER!!

I have been sent these lovely snowflake stickers from Sparkly Nails to try out!

They are a bumpy 3D texture, spongy almost LOL!

They come in various sizes and look fab with Color Clubs Otherworldly!

Otherwordly is a bright blue jelly with holo glitter. Unfortunately you cant really tell its holo glitter on the nail but you can in the bottle. It basically just looks like silver glitter.
Still pretty though!

The stickers can be purchased HERE

Dotty Daisies

I am in LOVE with dots at the mo. Ever since I got my Pro Plate 10 from Moyou, every mani has dots on LOL! In fact i am just about to put them on my feet!

The photo of this sucks... I ended up having to take a pic of this at night and I just couldn't get a great shot but I just have to put it up now, I cant wait!

As you can probably see that I only went and bloody knocked the middle bubble charm! Some night nothing works for me at all!

This is Aquadelic by China Glaze and Konad in White.
Aquadelic is a stunning greeny blue type bright pastel. One of my new fave polishes. I am holding on to the summer by using bright colours for every mani but to be honest I love getting to use my darker colours.

I love the fact that this polish matches the bubble charms EXACTLY!
Like I have said I love this mani, would be perfect for spring!

I have used Bubble charms before (HERE) and they are super easy to use. Just dont move them around too much after they are placed otherwise you run the risk of effecting the image.

You can buy these Bubble charms from Sparkly Nails

Cute Lines and Bows Nail Art

First off let me apologize for my very poorly looking fingers. I have rather neglected my hands this week as my hubby has been off work and we have spent the time going out to various places with the kids....
Mainly involving dinosaurs LOL

I am really happy today as my new bulb for my lamp came and as it a daylight bulb it works so much better in regards to picture taking.
As many of you may know I only have time to blog in the late evenings when the babbys are in bed so a good lamp is essential to me.

Anywho, enough babbling lets get to the nails!

Today I have a very cute nail art!
I created this look using 3 Essie polishes..
Avenue Maintain (blue) Go Ginza (light pink) and Bond with Whomever (darker pink)

I used the ole Striping tape to create this look.
Painting the colours between lines of striping tape using a thin brush, on top of Go Ginza as a base colour.
Then removing the striping tape whilst the polish is still wet.

The lines haven't come out as crisp as usual but I still think it looks super pretty.

The bows are a pearlescent yellow and were sent to me by Sparkly Nails.
I really like these bows as they are a lot more practical than the massive bows i usually use, plus they are just so cute!

You can purchase these bows and other nail art things HERE
